Advanced Photon Source (APS), one of the largest synchrotron radiation facilities has suite of instruments for synthesis and in situ studies of complex oxides and chalcogenides. Among them, the sector-33 has MBE and PLD chambers on diffractometers. These resources also work as a hub to other APS specialized beamlines for ARPES, XMCD and XPS.  Examples of science carried by users and staff include synthesis science of complex oxides, interfacial superconductivity, topological insulators, and charge density waves. Plans to utilize storage-ring upgrade will be presented, too.
